Need a hand at the bench?

Progress syncs through your private iCloud account. On both devices, make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings → [your name] → iCloud. Launch Circuit Piano on the old device once (so it pushes its latest solves), then launch it on the new one. Sync is usually quick but can take a few minutes on first launch. Your best scores merge — you never lose a better result.

Every circuit is verified solvable before it ships. Two tips: tap GOAL to re-audition the target while you adjust (the meter shows how close you are), and listen for which fader moves the sound the most — the match meter reacts the moment you're heading the right way. And if the clock runs out, nothing is lost but the run: the circuit scores a zero for now, the bench eases the next deal, and the circuit comes back around later — a zero never touches the best score you have already earned on it. You can go straight back to it by typing its code in the circuit picker.

Open the app and the next circuit is dealt — a quick 3-2-1 and you're on the bench. The bench chooses each deal from how you've been playing: which of the 1,024 underlying circuit designs, which certified target profile and which of its eight certified start configurations, which of its sixteen builds — every part inside its real tolerance, so no two builds of one circuit sound quite alike — which scope channel is served — and the run climbs eight levels, each one of eight coordinated bench colours, green at level one through to black at eight: tune eight circuits within the clock and the bench changes colour and the clock tightens, so the colour of the board tells you which level the run is on before you touch a fader. Every code lays out its own circuit board. Every fader is live. Ace a few and the pressure rises; struggle and it eases. Every unique code keeps a best score and counts once toward TUNED. Your SCORE climbs across consecutive circuits until a clock runs out, then starts again from zero at the level you have earned; HI is your best run. Every deal has an sixteen-character code on the results card — share it and a friend plays the exact same puzzle with your score to beat carried in the link, and a run started from a shared code deals both of you the same circuits. Play a circuit you were challenged on and the share key becomes RETURN: it sends the same circuit back carrying whichever score is higher, so a challenge volleys back and forth. AGAIN on the results card replays the circuit you just tuned. Tap the current circuit code — or AGAIN on the results card — to browse circuit designs, revisit tuned codes, or type any code and start a run there. The full-width picker serves every certified variant of every circuit.

Check the mute switch and volume first — Circuit Piano plays through the main speaker. If audio was interrupted (a call, Siri, another app taking the audio session), returning to the game resumes it automatically. If it ever doesn't, swipe the app away and relaunch; your attempt history and progress are unaffected.

Yes — pair any MFi, PlayStation, or Xbox controller and the play screen shows the button map: move focus between faders, adjust with the stick, hold the trigger for fine control, and audition the goal with one press.

Yes, on iPad. The pencil tip drags any fader with the same travel as a finger, and laying the pencil low (under thirty degrees) moves it at one sixth speed for fine control. Pressure sets the velocity of the piano keys and a firm press accents a sequencer step. Double-tap and squeeze are remappable in Settings ▸ Controls, and on Apple Pencil Pro the detents and end-stops click in the pencil itself.
